COLORADO SPRINGS. During the week of Dec. 17-23, our diocesan Military Outreach Ministry (MOM) delivered almost 1,100 Christmas gifts to the children of needy families of wounded veterans and soldiers at Fort Carson, as well as other needy children in our community. This is the fourth year that MOM has helped to fill this often-overlooked need.

Motivated by John 17:21, Schubert says he was looking "for a way I could encourage others in unity, which then leads to evangelizing, which Our Holy Father has called us to do."
