2-17-12 LETTER TO THE EDITOR: A warning to all Catholics
I appreciate the recent heartfelt and poignant editorials by Cardinal-designate Dolan and Bishop Sheridan concerning the egregious attacks on our religious liberties by President Obama (Feb. 3 Herald). Their writings point out the administration’s total disregard for our faith and to the doctrines we hold dear to our hearts.
My intention here is to warn all Catholics that the Obama administration will probably concede to political pressure and reverse its decision, but do not be fooled! They have revealed their true agenda of promoting a “culture of death” and any words to the contrary are contrived and meaningless.
As Catholics, the sanctity of life is a cornerstone of our faith, it roots us to God — the source of all life. No regime, monarch or dictator will ever prevent us from following our faith and worshiping the Lord.
